Design Story

Purpose & Goal:

"Experiment Vessel" was created for the Breda University of Applied Science (BUAS) Entry assignment for the Design and Production track in the Creative Media and Game Technologies program. It was the first game I ever built and shipped.

Concept:

  • Inspired by the speed of combat in Katana Zero and Rock Paper Scissors to create an interesting gameplay loop

Development:

  • A speed run mode was thought developed but caused too many problems to implement properly that it had to be scrapped

Post Development:

  • Considering I am currently attending SETU and not BUAS, you'd think I didn't get in but I was accepted with an entry score of 82%
